Our Embroidery 101 teaches you fundamental beginner friendly stitches while creating a fun design. All designs are are hand drawn by our instructor, Jess. Themes available include insects, skulls, books and Halloween.

About the instructor

Jess Riera is an illustrator, crafter, mom, and recovering corporate graphic designer. During the pandemic, she had her daughter and started embroidering gothic designs on baby onesies. After relocating to PDX and leaving her corporate job, she started vending at local PDX markets and Horror Pop Designs was born. Since she is an illustrator and designs her own patterns, she started dreaming of teaching other people the art of embroidery.
